Kerry developed evidence for the Council and RHP to address their questions about the type of housing required from their affordable housing development programme and to how to make best use of the existing housing stock to meet housing need within the Borough. The final report made recommendations to the client on priorities for development to tackle issues of overcrowding and urgent needs of families and vulnerable people on the Council’s waiting list. The study involved analysis of house prices, rents, incomes and housing need and a substantial programme of consultation with senior officers in the Council, RHP and partner organisations as well as focus groups with tenants and those in housing need.
